Welcome to Beer Stories for Private Equity! In our fourth episode, Aaron Clark of Stephens Group is batting clean up as he joins Scott for a great show. The two share some a few laughs, mixing in some thoughtful commentary on working for a family office. Aaron has been Managing Director since the firm's founding in 2006; advising partners across internet infrastructure, technology-enabled services and business software. It’s no surprise that 13 of his 15 deals as Lead Partner derive from the tech sector. Their conversation also focuses on the following:

  • Bringing Arkansas values into private equity

  •

Witt Sr’s legacy by maintaining a reputation (and the firm’s value proposition) upon collaboration and trust, transcending sectors and multigenerational relationships

  • What it’s like being a “just a muggle” and spending time in a duck blind.

Aaron also provides some excellent advice to our listeners who are recent graduates or early in their careers. We think you'll enjoy their discussions around baseball and bio-pics!

We're also receiving fan-mail from our listeners! We hope you’ll reach out with any questions or comments, and we'll try to answer them live on our next episode!
